"Those bovine palookas had to foul it up for the entire Republic. The bluebonnets no longer carpet the chalky wastelands. The mockingbirds couldn't handle the stench so they flew over the Brazos. They even managed to chase out the armadillos while letting the prickly pears run wild. The whole state will soon be caked over with pies as big as Sam Houston's belt buckle. Damn Longhorns..."
